This lecture takes the concept of "Blank leaving" as the beginning of boundless creative thinking. It invites influential figures in the field of ink art from academia, industry, and art museums on an international scale. The host is Assistant Professor Wu Chao-Jen from Tunghai University Department of Fine Arts, and the speakers are Craig Yee, the director of INKstudio, and Alan Yeung, a curator at M+, Hong Kong. They will share insights into the development trends of ink art in the international art scene and elaborate on the intricate research and observations behind it.

Ink art is a unique art form in East Asia, but like other art forms, it constantly evolves with changing times. This evolution encompasses changes in technical forms, the content of artistic themes, material experimentation and liberation, the presentation through cross/new media, as well as shifts in concepts and cultural contexts. The emergence of new/classical ink art or contemporary ink art seeks not only to expand the boundaries of ink art but also to question what ink art truly is. In contemporary art, how does ink art manifest itself, and how is it interpreted across different regions?
