EXHIBITION | ZHENG CHONGBIN AT DAIMLER CONTEMPORARY BERLIN

Zheng Chongbin’s White Reflection (2012), now part of the world-renowned Daimler Art Collection, will be featured in the exhibition From a Poem to the Sunset at Daimler Contemporary Berlin in the coming May. Founded in 1977, the Daimler Art Collection encompasses the major international artistic trends from the 20th century to the present, with a particular focus on abstraction and conceptual art. Recent acquisitions from Chinese artists will be displayed alongside other works in its collection, with the aim of generating dialog among them and mapping their commonalities and differences. Zheng Chongbin’s White Reflection will be provocatively paired with a work by the Dresden artist Max Uhlig (born 1937), with whom he shares a fascination with ink, an “actional character” of lines, and an oscillation between abstraction and readability.

From a Poem to the Sunset will be open from May 1st through August 30th 2015. Zheng Chongbin will give an artist’s talk on April 29th.
