The Way is empty, yet in use it is never filled. Deep — like the source of the ten thousand things. It blunts its sharpness, untangles its knots, softens its radiance, and becomes one with the dust. Profound and still, it seems ever to endure. I do not know whose child it is — it appears to precede even the Lord on High.
