时维摩诘室有一天女，见诸天人闻所说法，便现其身，即以天华(花)散诸菩萨、大弟子上，华至诸菩萨即皆堕落，至大弟子便著不堕。
At that time, in Vimalakirti’s chamber, there was a fairy. Seeing the heavenly beings and humans listening to the Buddha dharma, she appeared and scattered heavenly flowers among the bodhisattvas and principal disciples. The flowers that fell upon the bodhisattvas all dropped away, but when they reached the principal disciples, they stuck and did not fall.
